As an organisation, we are passionate about contributing to the environment; we have completed several programmes demonstrating our commitment to addressing climate change.
We reduce our carbon footprint by making simple swaps, such as using water wipes instead of baby wipes and opting for recycled toilet rolls and tissues rather than their bleached counterparts.
The setting is powered by solar panels, allowing us to operate free from electricity throughout the day. Our carbon footprint is now reduced to 9 tonnes, significantly lower than the average small business in the UK, which produces around 15 tonnes.
Setting manager Elaina has completed a qualification in Business Environmental Sustainability, and together with her team, they look at new and innovative ways to reduce their carbon footfall.
The setting promotes recycling, reusing and repurposing and is proud to share the importance of their impact within the community with children.
